Man Goes Viral After Enlisting Ex-Girlfriends to Review Him on Tinder

— -- When the dating world got a little glum, Jake Chapman, a 26-year-old Web designer, decided to spice up his dating profile.

"I was broken up with in May and Tinder was one of the choices," he said. "I was taking dating a little too seriously, so I started texting my ex-girlfriends for help."

He decided to enlist in his former flames, hopefully, to give him five-star ratings on Tinder.

"Are you serious?" one named Nicole asked on his Tinder page.

"I'm married," wrote another, named Sarah. "Leave me alone."

"We were young and dumb," Danielle wrote. "You were an a******."

But not all of his past belles scorched him.

Faith, who Chapman said left him for an Australian man, wrote, "Jakes awesome! He's got some serious skills in the kitchen. Not really sure why I left yet, he'd be more attractive with an Australian accent, though."

Chapman took it all in stride.

"I put it up there [on Tinder] and left it for about three weeks," he told ABC News. "Someone told me I should put it on Reddit and within 10 hours, I think, I had 460,000 individual views."

Since his Tinder profile has gone viral, the dating scene has been looking a lot brighter for the Seattle native.

"I've had so many girls reach out to me," Chapman said. "Some are from Facebook, Instagram, and even other countries. Some girls are asking me to fly out to them. So yeah, there's lots of stuff going on now outside the world of Tinder."

While his new digital dating tactic was only meant for laughs, Chapman does have a real desire to one day meet the girl of his dreams.

"I'm looking for someone who is passionate and does not take life so seriously," he said. "I like hiking, CrossFit, photography. It'd be awesome if she had some of the same interests."

Although many found Chapman's new-and-improved profile amusing, others posed negative comments on his ploy to catch the attention of single women.

"Those who actually would have read the profile would have [seen] that I have a sense of humor, but at the same time I'm not some guy trying to make myself look better than I am," Chapman said. "If it helped me get dates and meet a beautiful girl, so be it. If anything, it was for just to share a good laugh at my personal problem of being single."
