Man's Inspirational Rant on Marriage Goes Viral on Twitter
Danny Rodriguez's message has been retweeted thousands of times.
-- One Ohio man said that when he chimed in on a Twitter debate about the size of wedding rings, it led him to share -- in dozens of tweets -- his own thoughts about marriage.
"I thought marriage isn't about the size of the ring, really," Rodriguez, who has been married to his wife, Yetunde, for 15 years, told ABC News.
"But I didn't want to romanticize marriage as something that is 'happily ever after,'" he added. "I noticed that a lot of times when we talk about marriage, we only talk about the good stuff and we don't talk about the day to day ... the stuff that can really grind down your marriage."
Now, Danny Rodriguez's tweets have gone viral, with thousands retweeting his inspirational message about the reality of being married.
Rodriguez tweeted that his marriage hit a few bumps, especially when they had to put his wife's father "in a home."
Rodriguez, 43, said he's been "overwhelmed" by the positive response to his rant. In fact, Twitter users have loved his perspective so much that many have asked him to write a book.
Still, the father of four said he's not interested.
"I’m not an expert on love," Rodriguez admitted. "I'm an expert on [Yetunde]."
