6-Month-Old Girl Breaks Record on Water Skis
Zyla St. Onge skied at the age of six months and 27 days.
-- Zyla St. Onge cannot yet walk, but at the age of six months, the Florida native can water ski.
Zyla of Polk City, Florida, took to the water Saturday and broke a decades-old record as the youngest water skier. Wearing a pink life vest and holding on to a rail for support, Zyla skied 686.4 feet, according to ESPN.
Zyla broke the record on Lake Silver, in Winter Haven, Florida. She was supported along the way by people in the lake's waters lining her route.
Zyla was six months and 27 days old when she skied Saturday, narrowly beating the record long held by Parks Bonifay, who water skied at the age of six months, 29 days.
