How to Prepare the 'Friends' Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich, the 'Moist Maker'

Andrew Rea shot a how-to video in his Harlem kitchen.

With Thanksgiving leftovers, New York City filmmaker Andrew Rea made a how-to guide for building the "Friends" Thanksgiving sandwich.

Rea, a documentary filmmaker and visual effects artist by day and cooking enthusiast in his spare time, created the leftovers sandwich from the ground up by first cooking a full Thanksgiving meal.

He used Thanksgiving recipes from his favorite blogs for the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, and he didn't skimp on supplies.

"The ingredients were around $100," Rea said.

He then spent about six hours cooking the meal in his Harlem kitchen.

The premium sandwich is built in this order: a slice of bread, a layer of white meat, a layer of stuffing, the secret "moist maker" ingredient — bread dipped in gravy — a layer of dark meat, another layer of stuffing, a layer of cranberry sauce and the third slice of bread on top.

"Then eat it as fast as you can, before your co-workers steal it," Rea advises in the video.

Rea's Thanksgiving sandwich video has attracted more than 530,000 views since he posted it.
