San Diego Sheriff's Deputies 'Detain' Baby Seal
The baby seal managed to get five blocks from the shoreline.
-- San Diego sheriff's deputies put a real slippery suspect behind bars, "detaining" a baby seal that took a day trip to a local high school.
The seal managed to get five blocks from the shoreline to Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California, on Wednesday before officers caught up with the pup, police said in a release Friday.
They managed to "detain" the seal in their patrol car until animal control officers and Sea World employees arrived.
"While Deputy Sheriffs attempted to interview him as to his activities, he clammed up and requested his lawyer," police said in a news release.
