Westminster Dog Show’s Top Dogs and Fan Favorites
New breeds are making their debut at the 140th annual canine event.
-- More than 3,000 pooches have entered the Westminster Kennel Club's 140th Annual Dog Show and they’re all competing for one thing and one thing only: to be best in show.
"This is like the Super Bowl...it's like the World Series," breeder Scott Pheil told "Good Morning America"'s Jesse Palmer. "If you get here and win it’s like nothing else in the world."
The dogs who won in their groups are ready to go after the title of top dog Tuesday night.
With 197 breeds in varieties, there are even seven new breeds that are showing for the first time--including the Spanish Water Dog.
As for favorites, the Wire Fox Terrier won more than any others: 14 times.
But Vegas bookies like the German Shepherd are at 4 to 1 odds to win it all.
