Yellow Lab Races Down Giant Backyard Water Slide

— -- This pooch certainly knows how to beat the Louisiana heat.

Take a look at Milo, a yellow Lab, skipping all the kids in line for his turn at this epic backyard water slide.

His owner, Dwayne Bergeron, says he was up and down the slide all day on June 13.

“He think he’s one of the kids,” Bergeron, of Houma, Louisiana, told ABC News. “He just jumped in and started lying around and playing in the pool. All the kids were going up the ladder and he just started following them.”

The slide was set up for a birthday party to help everyone cool off, which apparently included the playful pup, too.

“That’s what we usually do for birthdays in the summertime here,” he said. “It gets so dang hot.”

And not to worry— Milo didn’t puncture the awesome water slide with his paws.

“No damage was done,” said Bergeron. “The owner of the slide company was at the party.”

The rambunctious 2-year-old Lab was definitely the life of the party, putting his slipping and sliding skills to the test.

“The kids in the neighborhood are always coming over to play with him,” Bergeron said. “He’s always full of life.”
