Meet the Students from the University of Texas

Jan. 15, 2009— -- Chelsey Delaney is a multimedia journalism senior at the University of Texas. She spends most of her time blogging and reading Internet factoids about Web design, but also enjoys playing sitar, reading poetry, and making urban art. Chelsey has written a column about Web sites for the National Examiner and is also responsible for jump-starting and building the blog site for "The Daily Texan," UT's student newspaper. She has also volunteered at rape crisis centers and women's shelters in Austin to help empower abused and low-income women.

Andrew Egan participated in the first semester of the ABC News On Campus program. He is a government major at the University of Texas at Austin who has previously worked in print journalism, most notably with Forbes Magazine. Hoping to graduate this May, he wants to continue work with major media outlets. Born in Germany, Andrew's an Army brat who's moved every other year for most of his life.

Sara Loeffelholz is a senior at the University of Texas in Austin and is from Aledo, Texas. She is pursuing a double major in broadcast journalism and Spanish. Sara has gained broadcasting experience by reporting for the UT student-run news program, KVR News, and in the summer of 2007, she was an intern for KTBC-TV in Austin. At this local Fox affiliate, Sara realized she had a passion for news reporting. During the fall of 2007 and spring of 2008, Sara served as a producer, anchor, photographer and reporter for Texas Newswatch, a student-produced newscast that airs weekly in Austin. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors and participating in sports. She is excited to work with ABC News this year and hopes to have a future as a news reporter after graduating from college.

Joseph Millares is a senior broadcast journalism major at the University of Texas.  He has never truly "lived" anywhere for more than five years. Joseph was born in Hammersmith, England, then bounced around the United States before settling in New York for grade school and then somehow ending up in Laredo, Texas, on the Mexico border.  This nomadic existence has convinced him that he is destined to be a journalist, or at least that's what he likes to tell himself.  You will see Joseph reporting on camera for ABC News on Campus, as well as shooting and editing for the other rockin' reporters he works with.  Joseph might even surprise you with a text story or two, but as your typical college guy who fears commitment, he can't promise anything.  But he does enjoy old movies, candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach --in case you were wondering.
