Rick Perry, the current Texas governor and former Republican presidential candidate, is endorsing Mitt Romney for president, Fox News and ABC News are reporting.
"Mitt Romney has earned the Republican Presidential nomination through hard-work, a strong organization, and disciplined message of restoring America after nearly four years of failed job-killing policies from President Obama and his administration," Perry said in a statement, according to ABC.
Perry, who dropped out of the GOP race in January, had originally backed Newt Gingrich, who is expected to suspend his presidential campaign next week.
