2:30 p.m. ET: Inaugural parade begins, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama join inaugural motorcade.
8:00 p.m. ET: Obamas host first-ever Neighborhood Ball at the Convention Center, the premiere event of inauguration evening, broadcast exclusively by ABC and including live coverage of the President and First Lady's first dance of the night and President-elect Obama's initial speech of the evening, alongside performances and appearances by some of the nation's top recording artists and stars.

The President-Elect's Inauguration Day Schedule
8:45 a.m. ET: President-elect Obama attends a private church service at St. John's Episcopal Church, across from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue. St John's is known as the "church of the presidents," as every American president has worshipped there at some point since President James Madison.
10:00 a.m. ET: President-elect Obama meets with President Bush at the White House and together they travel to the Capitol for the inaugural ceremonies.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET: The official inaugural ceremony includes an invocation by Pastor Rick Warren, musical selections from Aretha Franklin, Itzak Perlman and Yo Yo Ma, a benediction from Richard Lowery and a poem by Elizabeth Alexander. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the oath of office. Following the swearing-in, the new president will deliver the inaugural address.
12:45 p.m. ET: Following the swearing-in, President Obama will escort outgoing President Bush to a departure ceremony at the Capitol.
1:00 p.m. ET: President Obama, Vice President Biden and their families will attend a lunch hosted by Congress in the Capitol's Statuary Hall.
2:30 p.m. ET: The inaugural parade begins as the president and his family enter the motorcade and continue down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House. At the White House, they will enter the president's viewing box and watch the remainder of the parade, which will include participation from marching bands and groups from across the country

8:00 p.m. ET: President Obama hosts the first-ever "Neighborhood Inaugural Ball," the premiere event of inauguration evening. To help bring the unique event to neighborhoods across the nation, ABC will broadcast "The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration," giving everyone an exclusive look inside this historic event that will include the president and first lady's first dance of the night, President Obama's first speech of the evening and performances and appearances by some of the nation's top recording artists and stars. The event will air live from the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., from 8 to 10 p.m. ET on the ABC Television Network.
10 p.m. ET: Gibson, Sawyer and Stephanopoulos anchor the ABC News Special "A Moment in History: The Inauguration of Barack Obama." This news program will take the audience live to inaugural balls and track the president and first lady as they continue their celebration throughout Washington. Also, a team of ABC News correspondents will report on the special significance the day holds for millions of African-Americans; the amazing lengths many Americans are going to just to be in Washington for the inauguration; and world reaction to Obama's promised effort to unite the nation.
11:35 p.m. ET: On ABC News' "Nightline," anchors Cynthia McFadden and Terry Moran recap the big day and are live from the balls as the Obamas make their late-night circuit.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee is hosting 10 official celebratory balls around Washington D.C., Monday evening. The president and first lady are expected to appear at each of them.
The Neighborhood Ball, the Obama Home States Ball, the Biden Home States Ball, the Western Ball, the Mid Atlantic Ball and the Midwestern Ball will be held at the Washington Convention Center.
Other official balls include the Youth Ball at the Washington Hilton, the Commander in Chiefs Ball at the National Building Museum, the Eastern Ball at Union Station and the Southern Ball at the D.C. Armory.
