AD TRAFFIC HIGHLIGHTS:

The Bush campaign continues to air only one ad to slam Kerry on the "Patriot Act."

The Kerry campaign unveiled two new ads this week touting his vision for what America needs.

MoveOn.org digs into its vault to run an older anti-Bush ad in D.C. only.

Same ads up as last week from the New Democrat Network, the Club for Growth, and the anti-Nader groups.

By the numbers …

1 Bush ad hitting Kerry on national security. 2 Kerry ads touting his vision for the country. 1 pro-Bush and 2 anti-Bush ads by outside groups. 2 anti-Nader ads by outside groups. 4 ads by the New Democrat Network promoting Hispanic unity behind Democrats.

BUSH-CHENEY:

Airing "Patriot Act," which hits Kerry for "playing politics with national security." The 30-second ad airs on national cable and on local affiliates in spot markets. This is the only ad BC04 has up right now.

KERRY:

From the campaign: "Country" will begin airing in 14 markets Friday in rotation with "Optimists," the spot announced on Tuesday morning, in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The other five markets announced on Tuesday will remain entirely up with "Optimists" (Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota and New Hampshire). African American media and Virginia stations will still be airing the 60 second bio ad, "Heart."

MOVEON.ORG

The group is rotating each week one of their older ads in the D.C. market only. This week it's "Boots-Rug," which shows a man with G.W.B. stenciled on his boots literally pulling the rug out from under seniors concerned about Medicare. There will be another one next week, which is a South Park like cartoon called "Wrong Direction" that we'll have a copy of soon.

NEW DEMOCRAT NETWORK:

Airing Spanish language ads, "El Tren" and "Unidos," featuring Democratic all-stars Gov. Bill Richardson, Rep. Loretta Sanchez, Rep. Bob Menendez, and others. These ads use Hispanic leaders to continue the message of Hispanic unity behind Democrats as expressed in the two older ads still running, "Broken Promises" and "Scrapbook." --"Scrap Book" [Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Yuma, Ariz., on Spanish language television.]--"Broken Promises" [Tucson; Yuma, Ariz.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Reno; and Miami.] --"Unidos" [Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Yuma, Ariz., on Spanish language television.]--"El Tren de Movimiento" [Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Yuma, Ariz., on Spanish language television.]

ANTI-NADER:

There are two anti-Nader ads out there. One is by the Democratic Action Team (sponsors of www.StopNader.com) which has an ad called "StopNader.com" that directly blames Nader for Bush's election in 2000 and all of the economic and international problems that have arisen since then. The second ad is by the National Progress Fund (sponsors of www.thenaderfactor.com), headed by former Dean flak Tricia Enright, which has an ad called "Stakes" featuring a man who voted for Nader in 2000 and now regrets it.

CLUB FOR GROWTH

Airing "Freedom," which has images of the World Trade Center towers and President Bush at the Ground Zero site. From the group's release: the "ad will begin running May 14 in Ohio and Missouri and shortly thereafter in Arkansas, New Hampshire and New Mexico. The Club for Growth has budgeted $500,000 for this phase of the ad campaign. The ad was produced by Red Sea , LLC."

CAMPAIGN FOR AMERICA'S FUTURE

Jointly sponsoring an ad with the Detroit Project (headed by celeb-vocates Arianna Huffington and Laurie David) that slams the Bush administration for high gas prices and its relationships with oil companies. The ad began running Friday in D.C., N.Y.C., and L.A. It will continue running through Friday, June 4th.
