Out in Reagan Country, all six-foot, six-inches of Fred Thompson offers reporters who went to Southern California for Thursday's GOP debate an irresistible opportunity on Friday to look at whether the Law & Order actor has the potential to shake-up the GOP race.

Thompson, who, according to Newsweek, was making calls on behalf of McCain's 2008 presidential campaign as recently as January, discusses "where the country is and where it could be" at an 11:30 pm ET Lincoln Club dinner in Newport Beach, Calif. For more click here: LINK

Rep. Zach Wamp, R-Tenn., the Thompson supporter who just penned the foreword for "The Fred Factor," a forthcoming Thompson book by Steve Gill, tells ABC News that he thinks Thompson is on track to enter the race in early summer.

Former Gov. Tommy Thompson, R-Wis., continues his Iowa-focused campaign with stops in Cedar Rapids, Grundy Center, and Clarkesville.

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., attends a 2:30 pm ET private fundraiser in Green Valley, Ariz., and an 8:30 pm ET cookout in Hereford, Ariz.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., is in New Hampshire on behalf of McCain. He delivers 5:30 pm ET remarks on a cruise of Romney's beloved Lake Winnipeasaukee.

On the Democratic side of the ledger, former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., helps with recovery efforts in New Orleans' 9th Ward at 10:00 am ET and takes an 11:00 am ET walking tour of the area's FEMA trailers with actor Danny Glover. He then delivers a 3:30 pm ET address to the National Conference of Black Mayors' convention at the Baton Rouge River Center.

Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., who took a swipe Thursday at Edwards on Iraq and McCain on immigration, is in the Hawkeye State for a 9:30 am ET kitchen-table discussion in Ottumwa and a 1:00 pm ET discussion at the Hy-Vee lunch counter in Vilsack's hometown of Mt. Pleasant. He then takes a 3:30 pm ET tour of the Tri-City Energy Biodiesel Plant in Keokuk with the city's mayor, David Gudgel, and ends his day with a 6:30 pm ET town hall meeting on jobs and energy at Keokuk's Iowa Hotel.
