As you make your way down to Charleston, S.C., pick up a copy of Vogue's August issue for a profile of Hillary Clinton's "master of the velvet no."

"Huma Abedin has the energy of a woman in her 20s, the confidence of a woman in her 30s, the experience of a woman in her 40s, and the grace of a woman in her 50s," says Clinton of her traveling chief of staff. "She is timeless, her combination of poise, kindness, and intelligence are matchless, and I am lucky to have had her on my team for a decade now."

(The profile, which includes a photo of her posing in a Vera Wang "Lavender Label jersey dress with beaded belt," answers any questions you may have had about her progression from Ann Taylor to Chanel).
