Sneak Peek: Clinton and Gore Together Again
Former President and Vice President Appear at Clinton Global Initiative
September 25, 2007— -- Bill Clinton and Al Gore make a rare joint appearance in New York on Wednesday as the third annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative gets underway.
The former president and vice president take the stage during the opening session, moderated by Clinton, billed as "an action-oriented discussion" examining "global health, education, poverty alleviation and energy and climate change."
The 10:00 am ET Clinton-Gore event takes place at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.
Other panelists include Afghan President Hamid Karzai, President of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President and CEO of Wal-Mart, H. Lee Scott Jr, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and World Bank President Robert Zoellick.
The end-of-the-third quarter mad dash for cash pauses for 90 minutes on Wednesday when the eight Democratic '08ers square off at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.. The D.N.C.-sanctioned affair, which will be moderated by NBC's Tim Russert, gets underway at 9:00 pm ET on MSNBC, New England Cable News, and New Hampshire Public Radio.
Wednesday's debate will be the first time that Barack Obama will be on stage with Hillary Clinton since the former first lady released her second attempt at universal health coverage. (Tell us, Senator Clinton, do you agree with Senator Edwards that Obama's plan would leave 15 million uninsured?)
It's also the first debate since Bill Richardson stepped up his "I'm different on Iraq" argument with a television ad in the Granite State.

Before the debate, Obama attends a fundraising house reception in Peterborough, NH. His wife, Michelle, is in Iowa meeting with local activists and community members in Iowa City and in Muscatine. She'll end her day at a debate watch party in Davenport.

Mitt Romney is fundraising in California, making stops in Long Beach for a breakfast fundraiser and a 4:30 pm ET town hall meeting before dinner fundraiser in Santa Barbara and Ventura.
Rudy Giuliani holds campaign events in New Jersey and New York. He also holds a National House Party web cast at 8:30 pm ET. The former mayor's campaign holds a fundraiser in Kazakhstan, where Giuliani will join supporters via teleconference, reports the New York Post. In other Giuliani fundraising news, spokeswoman Maria Comella told the AP Tuesday that campaign did not know that two volunteers were throwing a fundraiser asking people to donate $9.11 and that it was " an unfortunate choice."

President Bush attends a 8:15 am ET meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, greets employees at the US Mission to the UN at 9:25 am ET, meets with the Chancellor of the NYC Education Department, and makes a statement on the Nations Report Card at 10:05 am ET. After that, Bush heads to a private Republican National Committee reception before making his way back to the White House.
