SNEAK PEEK: Questions on the Trail

Nine Weeks To Go: Voices Get Raspy, Rhetoric Gets Sharper

November 7, 2007— -- The 2008 presidential candidates continue to fan out across the early voting states for fundraisers, town hall meetings and rallies on Thursday. With nine weeks remaining before the Iowa caucuses, the rhetoric is sharpening, the days on the campaign trail are getting longer – and it seems one campaign lost the directions to their next event and another is dealing with a hoarse candidate.

Questions for tomorrow:-Will Rudy Giuliani works his endorsement from Pat Robertson into his campaign stops in Iowa in an effort to quell concerns of social conservatives in the Hawkeye State?

-Will we hear from Hillary Clinton about John Edwards' comments to editors at the Boston Globe that would continue combat missions against Al Qaeda in Iraq, but conduct them from bases outside the country?

(We have heard from Clinton spokesman Phil Singer on this, who said "Before Senator Edwards goes after others on an issue, he ought to get his own position straight.")

-As he hits the campaign trial Thursday with stops in Glenwood and Onawa, Iowa, will former President Bill Clinton once again cite the Swift Boat attacks when defending his wife against criticisms from her rivals?

-Will Barack Obama's plane land at the right airport?

-Will there be a spike in Google searches for "Tallulah Bankhead" now that Hillary Clinton has compared her raspy voice to that of the 1920s actress?

Bill Richardson and Joe Biden are scheduled to speak about U.S. foreign policy and global leadership at "Impact 08," a policy event hosted by the New Hampshire Institute of Politics and the Center for U.S. Global Engagement at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH
