Barbara Bush Brings Her Flair to Jeb's New Hampshire Campaign
The Bush family matriarch campaigns for the first time in a decade.
— -- As Barbara Bush hits the trail for her son, Jeb, the former First Lady is campaigning for the first time in almost a decade.
With her visit comes a new jolt of life into her son’s campaign...and all the exuberance that comes with the opinionated matriarch of the family.
This morning, she joined her son in Derry, NH at MaryAnn’s Diner, where she did all the things a First Lady should.

As she spoke with families, she joked with a mother who said that her kids were “easy."
“They’re easy?” Bush asked. "Mine weren’t. In fact, mine occasionally fought. Not argued. I mean literally fought,” she said. She then vented about her frustrations with her husband.
“He may not agree with me but he will not argue — it’s very frustrating,” she said.
The campaign used the opportunity to take a swipe at the frontrunner in the race, Donald Trump. Trump cancelled his New Hampshire events on Friday, citing airport closures and had gone back to New York the night before.

During an appearance of "CBS This Morning," Barbara Bush demurred.
"I'm not getting in a spitting match with him. He can spit further than I can,” she said.
But later, she made her true feelings known.
“What about women? Unbelievable! I don’t know how someone can vote for someone who said what he said about Megyn Kelley, we knew what he meant too,” she said, adding to Nora O’Donnell, “Don’t you get in his firing line.”
Bush is incredibly popular out on the trail, voters often coming up to the former Florida governor to tell him how much they love the family.
At his town hall he joked, “Wow, mom, my crowd sizes normally aren’t this large. I wonder why/”
But, that night, and the following day, she was just a mom, like any other.
