Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta: 'She Is Not Done Yet'

John Podesta addressed supporters at the Javits Center.

"We are so proud of her," he said. "She's done an amazing job."

Podesta acknowledged it had been a long night but added, "We can wait a little longer, can't we?"

"They're still counting votes. Every vote should count. Several states are too close to call. So we're not going to have anything more to say tonight," he said.

He urged those at the event to "head home" and "get some sleep," as the campaign would not be making any further announcements.

"I want every person in this hall to know, and I want every person across the country who supported Hillary to know that your voices and your enthusiasm means so much to her and to Tim [Kaine] and to all of us," Podesta said. He assured them that the campaign would have more to say later on Wednesday and concluded by thanking Clinton's supporters once again.

Clinton was not present at the event.
