Clinton Campaign's Early Morning Tweets a Nod to Trump?
The tweets addressed Clinton's proposed "National Service Reserve."
-- Hillary Clinton's campaign took to twitter during the early hours of Saturday -- 3:20 a.m. to be exact -- to tweet about her newly-announced plans for a "National Service Reserve," making an apparent wink-wink nod to GOP rival Donald Trump's affinity for tweeting during such hours.
At a rally Friday in Coral Springs, Florida, Clinton slammed Trump for attacking former Miss Universe Alicia Machado with a series of early morning tweets Thursday.
"Who gets up at 3 o'clock in the morning to engage in a Twitter attack against a former Miss Universe," Clinton asked the crowd of 2,300. "I mean, he hurled as many insults as he could. Really? Why does he do things like that?"
Fast forward several hours to 3:20 a.m. Saturday, and the following tweet popped up on the @HillaryClinton twitter feed: "It's 3:20am. As good a time as any to tweet about national service."
It's important to note, though, that the bio of the Clinton campaign Twitter account notes, "Tweets from Hillary signed –H." None of the tweets posted this morning were signed by Clinton.
Clinton's "National Service Reserve" would allow people to serve their communities without a full-time commitment.
Four tweets then followed the initial tweet.
