Cuban Leader Raul Castro Dodges Question About Whether He Prefers Trump or Clinton

— -- When Cuban leader Raúl Castro was asked which of two U.S. presidential candidates he preferred -- Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump -- Castro seemed to dodge the question, saying, "Well, I cannot vote in the United States," as the crowd laughed.
President Barack Obama, who was standing alongside Castro, didn't comment, but seemed to enjoy the question, smiling in anticipation as he waited for Castro's answer.
Castro's lighthearted response came as he and Obama took questions from the press at a news conference in Havana.
Castro said in his statement that Cuba and the U.S. have achieved “good results” since the reestablishment of bilateral relations, but that that the “positive” steps that have been taken remain “insufficient” due to the continuation of the trade embargo that remains intact and would require an act of Congress to remove.
Obama said that while he celebrates the progress in the relationship, the two countries continue to have important differences and that the U.S. will continue to speak out on the issue of human rights and democracy.
Later today, Obama will take part in an event focused on entrepreneurship and business opportunity in Cuba. The president will be joined by several U.S. CEOs and business leaders who also made the trip to Cuba.
The president will end his day with a state dinner at the presidential palace.
