A Day in the Life of the Iowa Caucuses: As Seen Through the Eyes of Voters
Every four years, Iowans are in the spotlight.
-- Most of the time it seems like the 2016 presidential race is all about the candidates. But the voters are just as important as the contenders, so ABC News has decided to turn the lens around to see what the trail looked like on the final full day of campaigning before Monday's Iowa caucuses -- through the voters' eyes.
No matter whether a candidate is a Republican or Democratic, a common theme this cycle is the selfie.
Here's one a voter took with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after having a conversation about protecting marriage equality, according to the picture's caption.
On the Republican side, both billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum -- the winner of the 2012 Iowa caucuses -- also kept their selfie game strong.

Some supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders got into costume.
This is for real. And he is yelling, "Feel the Bern!" #IowaCaucus

And while it seemed as though the family dog received some attention, some Instagram photos resembled the family holiday card -- with the addition of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley.

For a period of time every four years, Iowans are bombarded by press who want to know what they're thinking about the country's potential leader.
Pretty cool to see how much your opinion matters here in Iowa. #IowaCaucus
