Donald Trump Calls on Marco Rubio to Drop out of GOP Race

— -- Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump celebrated wins in the Louisiana primary and Kentucky caucuses on Saturday night and called on Marco Rubio to drop out of the race.
"Marco Rubio had a very bad night," Trump said at a press conference Saturday night. "It's time now for him to drop out of the race."
Trump added, “I would love to take on Ted one on one. That would be so much fun."
The Republican front-runner also unabashedly said, "So far, everyone who has attacked me has gone down."
Trump held the news conference at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, at the end of a day when four states held GOP primaries or caucuses. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Trump won the Louisiana primary and Kentucky caucuses.
“I want to thank the people of Louisiana and the people of Kentucky,” Trump said. “It's been just an amazing relationship. Amazing relationship.”
On Saturday night, ABC News projected Ted Cruz as the winner of the Kansas Republican caucuses, based on vote analysis. Cruz also won the Maine Republican caucuses, according to the Maine Republican Party.
"I want to congratulate Ted on Maine and on Kansas -- and he should do well in Maine, because it's very close to Canada, let's face it,” Trump quipped, referring to the Texas senator’s Canadian birth.
Meanwhile, Rubio was campaigning in Puerto Rico ahead of the nominating contest there on Sunday.
"These states have a certain profile that other candidates do better in," Rubio told reporters on Saturday night. "Tonight we will have more delegates than we did last night."
But Trump kept the heat on the Florida senator.
“I would like Marco to drop out from the standpoint that I think Marco -- now, look at how he did tonight -- he's in third and fourth,” the New York billionaire said. “And somebody was nice enough to say that even when I don't win a state, I always come in second. That's a big thing. Marco's come in fourth. So, I think it's time for Marco to clean the deck. I do. And I say that respectfully.”
