Donald Trump Climbs to 35 Percent Support in New National Poll

The real estate mogul climbed 13 percentage points since mid-October.

The poll was taken both before and after Trump's recent call to ban Muslims from entering the United States.

This is the second national poll in the last week to show Trump's support in the mid-30s.

Recent polls in New Hampshire and South Carolina, both crucial states in the Republican nominating process, have shown Trump with commanding leads. Polling in Iowa shows Trump and Cruz locked in a close battle.

The poll also says 57 percent of all adults oppose the Muslim-ban and 40 percent of Republicans believe Trump is "telling it like it is."
