Donald Trump Just Wants a 'Fair Shot' at Winning, Campaign Manager Says

— -- Donald Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway defended the Republican presidential candidate's refusal to say during Wednesday night's debate whether he will accept the election results.

"He just wants a fair shot," Conway told ABC's "Good Morning America." "You know, if you're Donald Trump, you don’t get a fair shot most days."

When Trump was asked at the third and final presidential debate in Las Vegas if he will respect the outcome of the election and, if he loses, concede to the winner, the real estate developer declined to say.

"I will tell you at the time," Trump told debate moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News. "I'll keep you in suspense, okay?"

Trump's Democratic challenger, Hillary Clinton, called the remarks "horrifying."

"It was horrifying what he said," Clinton told reporters after the debate.

Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta, also said that Trump "made a tremendous mistake" by refusing to say if he'd accept the outcome.

Speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "GMA" this morning, Trump's campaign manager stood by his remarks.

"He's saying that until the results are actually known, certified and verified, he’s not going to concede an election," Conway said. "He just doesn’t know what will happen."

During Wednesday night's debate, Trump also reiterated his claim that the presidential election "rigged."

"She's guilty of a very, very serious crime," Trump said of Clinton. "She should not be allowed to run. And just in that respect I say it's rigged."

Clinton said her opponent was blaming the system for the state of his campaign.

"Every time Donald thinks things are not going in his direction, he claims whatever it is is rigged against him," the former secretary of state said. "There was even a time when he didn't get an Emmy for his TV program three years in a row, and he started tweeting that the Emmys were rigged."

"Should have gotten it," Trump quipped in response.
