Donald Trump Says 'We Don't Have Much of a Race Anymore' After Projected NY Win

The real estate mogul is projected to win the GOP primary in his home state.

"Senator [Ted] Cruz is just about mathematically eliminated ... we have won millions of more votes than Senator Cruz and millions and millions of votes more than Governor [John] Kasich," Trump added.

Trump's victory speech came after he was projected as the winner of the Republican primary, and though there have been no firm reports on the number of delegates he will collect as a result, he appeared confident.

"We're going to end at a very high level and get a lot more delegates" than pundits predicted "even in their wildest projections," he said.

Trump has taken issue in the past how various states allocate delegates.

"It's really nice to win the delegates with the votes, you know. It's really nice," he said.

"Nobody should be given delegates which is a ticket to victory.... It's a system that's rigged," he said.

Trump's wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner were also at the event in Trump Tower.
