'Duck Dynasty' Star Willie Robertson Backs Trump, Saying 'I Do Like Me Some Trump'
Robertson said, "I do like me some Trump, I gotta admit."
-- Donald Trump has a new fan -- "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson, who joined the billionaire at his rally at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, this evening and voiced his support for the candidate.
"Willie! Get over here! Look at this guy! Look at this guy! Willie do you love Trump?” the 2016 Republican frontrunner asked.
The TV star, who was sporting his usual long beard and camouflage responded, "I do like me some Trump, I gotta admit."
"Here’s the deal. We’re both successful businessmen. We both have pretty big shows on television," he added. "We both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us so I like Trump."
The "Duck Dynasty" crew, whose widely successful reality television show about their family's business, has been courted by several Republican campaigns.
Robertson in the past has praised Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Still, the family is not without controversy. Willie Robertson’s father, Phil Robertson, made headlines in 2013 when he used graphic language to explain his views on homosexuality and argued that being gay was a sin. Willie defended his father, but Phil was temporarily suspended from the show.
