What Happened When Elizabeth Warren Stopped by Clinton Campaign

— -- Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren stopped by Hillary Clinton’s Brooklyn presidential campaign headquarters Friday to give staffers a pep talk.

“Don’t screw this up,” she told them, according to the caption of an Instagram post from Bruno de Carvalho, the Clinton campaign’s director of mobile.

(Carvalho later re-posted the photo without the quote from Warren).

According to a source familiar with the visit, Warren spoke to members of the Clinton campaign about a variety of issues at stake in the election and thanked them for their efforts. She also posed for photos, according to social media posts from Clinton campaign aides.

Warren endorsed Clinton last week saying she’s “ready to get into this fight” to help her take on Donald Trump. The two met at Clinton’s Washington, DC home last Friday for more than an hour. As she departed that meeting, Warren ignored questions from the media about what the two discussed. A source familiar with the meeting tells ABC News they conferred about how they can work together in the upcoming general election campaign to advance the progressive agenda and defeat Donald Trump.

Warren's support could be significant to Clinton as she looks to appeal to Bernie Sanders’ constituency, even as the Vermont senator has yet to exit the race. Warren, like Sanders, is considered a rising star in the Democratic Party for her advocacy on economic equality issues and taking on Wall Street.

Warren is viewed as a possible vice presidential candidate for Clinton. Asked about the speculation Thursday night, Warren said, "no," adding that she had not heard from Clinton nor her campaign about whether she is under consideration for the position.

Last week during an exclusive interview with ABC News’ David Muir, Clinton praised Warren and did not rule out the prospect of having her on the ticket.

"I'm not going to get into vice presidential choices,” Clinton said, “but I have the highest regard for Senator Warren."
