The Evolution of Donald Trump's Muslim Immigration Ban
Trump has tweaked his signature immigration ban at least four times.
-- Just days after the San Bernardino shooting in California last December, Donald Trump proposed a complete ban on Muslim immigration into the United States.
“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on,” he said at a speech in South Carolina.
He was immediately rebuked by Democrats and leaders of his own party in an unprecedented fashion.
The New York developer has not shied away from the proposal. He's defended the ban throughout the election -- but has modified it as it was originally introduced at least four times.
