Florida Gov. Rick Scott Endorses Donald Trump

Scott urged his fellow Republicans to coalesce behind the New York businessman.

Scott, 63, called on Republicans to "come together" in a Facebook post today. "With his victories yesterday, I believe it is now time for Republicans to accept and respect the will of the voters and coalesce behind Donald Trump," he wrote.

The Florida governor said voters spoke clearly in last night's contest. "This has been a hard fought primary, with an outstanding roster of excellent candidates, including two of Florida’s favorite sons, and several Republican Governors who are close friends of mine," Scott continued.

With his endorsement today, Scott follows in the footsteps of Attorney General Pam Bondi, who endorsed Trump Monday, saying: "We live in a changing world, and we need leadership. We need someone who is unafraid to lead and restore America to its greatness."
