March 1st Results Election 2016

— -- Super Tuesday, which takes place on March 1, 2016, is a huge day in the in 2016 primary season. Voters in 12 states and one territory will head to the polls to pick their favorite candidate. They are: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and American Samoa. The Super Tuesday states represent the largest number of delegates up for grabs so far this primary season, and the state with the most delegates at stake is Texas. Competing for them on the Republican side are Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Ben Carson. On the Democratic side, it's Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Alabama: 60 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 50 delegates for the Republicans.

Alaska: 28 delegates are at stake for the Republicans

American Samoa: 11 delegates are at stake for the Democrats

Arkansas: 37 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 40 delegates for the Republicans

Colorado: 78 delegates are at stake for the Democrats

Georgia: 117 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 76 delegates for the Republicans

Massachusetts: 116 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 42 delegates for the Republicans

Minnesota: 93 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 38 delegates for the Republicans

Oklahoma: 42 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 43 delegates for the Republicans

Tennessee: 75 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 58 delegates for the Republicans

Texas: 251 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 155 delegates for the Republicans

Vermont: 26 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 16 delegates for the Republicans

Virginia: 109 delegates are at stake for the Democrats and 49 delegates for the Republicans
