Pokemon Go: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton Weigh In
The 2016 candidates weighed in on the latest craze.
-- Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are trying to catch 'em all -- voters that is, by weighing in on the phenomenon that is Pokemon Go.
Clinton made the joke about the game during her event today in Annandale, Virginia.
“I don't know who created Pokemon Go, but I’m trying to figure out how we get them to have Pokemon go to the polls,” Clinton said.
According to an aide, Clinton was briefed on Pokemon Go by staffers on Wednesday on the way back to Washington, D.C.
The aide believed Clinton made up the joke she told today herself, and pointed out that she was not using notes during her speech today.
Trump was asked whether he plays Pokemon Go in an interview with the Washington Examiner published today.
"I don't, but people are playing it. No question about it," Trump said. "I do not. I wish I had time."
The Republican candidate for president does, however, have a video posted to his Facebook page featuring a spoof of Pokemon Go, with "Crooked Hillary" as a Pokemon character.
The app is an augmented reality game that allows players to find and catch virtual Pokemon in real-life settings.
