Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump in Tight Race, New Poll Shows

— -- A new poll shows Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump caught in a tight race for the White House as Election Day inches closer.
Clinton has just a 2 point lead over Trump in a two-way race among likely voters, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll. The Democratic nominee has the support of 46 percent of likely voters nationwide, and the Republican candidate 44 percent, with less than two weeks to go until the first presidential debate.
When the poll considers all registered voters, Clinton holds a larger lead over Trump in a two-way race, 46 to 41 percent.
When third-party candidates — Gary Johnson, the Libertarian nominee, and Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate — are included, Clinton and Trump are tied at 42 percent each.
A vast majority of Clinton and Trump supporters said their minds are set. Ninety-four percent of Clinton voters and 92 percent of Trump voters said they will support their candidate come Election Day, Nov. 8, according to The New York Times/CBS News poll.
