President Obama Traveling to San Bernardino on Friday

— -- President Obama will travel to San Bernardino, California, Friday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said today.

The president will make a brief detour en route to his family's Hawaiian holiday vacation to visit with victims and families, similar to his visit to Roseburg, Oregon, after a deadly shooting there in October.

He is not expected to hold any public events.

The Dec. 2 shooting, which the administration has called a terrorist attack, killed 14 and injured more than 20 others. The two suspects who are said to have been inspired by the Islamic State were killed in a shootout with police.
