Third Republican Debate by the Numbers
There were fewer attacks among the candidates than during the second debate.
-- The University of Colorado Boulder welcomed GOP contenders to the main stage Wednesday evening, promising a debate focused on the economy, jobs and taxes.
It’s no surprise that the event, hosted by CNBC, was full of great zingers and break-out moments.
There were far fewer attacks from the candidates against one another than the second debate. There were more attacks from the candidates, however, against the media and the CNBC moderators.
Gov. John Kasich, who avoided attacks in the prior two debates, did not hold back this time, going after Ben Carson and Donald Trump, who are leading in the polls. Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina got the most applause from the audience.
