Sen. Kelly Ayotte Wouldn't Want Daughter in Room With Bill Clinton, Donald Trump

Ayotte has flipped on her support for Trump.

"At any point in time would you want your 16-year-old daughter in a room with Bill Clinton?" the host, Keith Hanson, asked Ayotte.

"I wouldn't want my daughter in the room with any of them," said Ayotte, who is facing a tough reelection battle. "But, you know, the point of this, that, uh, you know, why would I want my daughter in the room with them? You know, and this isn't about my daughter. I love my daughter and um, you know, obviously being a mom is a very important to me.”

Democrats were quick to react on social media.

Ayotte has featured her daughter Kate in multiple ads, including one where the two are playing basketball together and another along with Ayotte’s mother.

She also released a digital video in which she says in a voiceover, "I want to ensure a better quality of life for my ten-year-old daughter and for all of our daughters."

An Ayotte spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
