Executive Producer

Kathy O'Hearn was named executive producer of "This Week" in May 2005. She is responsible for the production and editorial content of the network's Sunday morning public affairs show. A 17-year veteran of ABC News, O'Hearn returned to the network from CNBC, where in 2003 she created and served as executive producer on the talk show "Topic A with Tina Brown."

Before working at CNBC, O'Hearn helped create, launch and produce CNN's "American Morning" in 2001 and 2002. She joined CNN in 2000, where she oversaw the cable network's morning coverage in the aftermath of 9/11.

Earlier, she served as executive vice president of CNN Business News and CNNfn, for which she was responsible for the production and development of CNN Business News and its flagship program, "Moneyline." She was the executive in charge in May 2001 when the show was successfully re-launched as "Lou Dobbs' Moneyline."

O'Hearn first joined ABC News in 1983 as an assignment editor in the Washington, D.C., bureau and culminated her 17 years there as the executive producer of "World News Tonight Saturday" and "World News Tonight Sunday" from 1996 to 2000. During this period, she was also responsible for relaunching "Good Morning America Sunday" and served as the show's executive producer. Earlier positions at ABC News included that of Los Angeles bureau chief, where she oversaw news coverage of the western United States, including such events as the Rodney King trial, the Los Angeles riots, the Malibu fires and the Northridge earthquake, as well as the O.J. Simpson trial.

O'Hearn began her career in broadcasting in 1976 at CBS News, where she was an assignment editor in the Washington, D.C., bureau. She also worked as a camera person from 1979-1982, covering major events around the world during the Carter and Reagan administrations.

Her work over the years has earned her several awards, including five Emmys, three Edward R. Murrow Awards, a 2000 National Headliner Award for Best Newscast, an Overseas Press Club Award in 1999 and a Peabody Award in 1999.

O'Hearn is a graduate of the University of Maryland. She and the Wonder Dog, Ellie, live in Washington.

Production Staff

Lisa Koenig, senior producer, has spent 19 years at ABC News, beginning in London and Moscow before joining "Nightline" as a producer in 1992. In a distinguished career, Koenig served as senior producer on several highly acclaimed series, including "The Clinton Years" and "Brave New World." She was also senior producer of "World News Tonight with Peter Jennings" from 1996-1997.

Koenig has been awarded five Emmys, the Joan Barone Award, and contributed to ABC's coverage of 9/11 that earned a Peabody Award in 2001. She joined "This Week" in 2005 as a producer and, when not criss-crossing the country with George, enjoys time with her two daughters and husband in Washington, D.C.

Ilana Marcus Drimmer, editorial producer, oversees the weekly booking, suggesting show guests and tracking current events to deliver the most current and relevant newsmakers each week. Drimmer has served as "This Week's" primary booker for six years, beginning with Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts in 2000, and continuing on with George.

Drimmer previously worked on CNN's "Larry King Live" and also hosts a behind-the-scenes look at each week's roundtable with "The Green Room." She lives in the Washington area with her husband, Jonathan, and her son, Jacob.

Amy Thomas Giebel, operations producer, is responsible for making sure that all our important interviews appear on your TV looking and sounding good. From interview locations and camera crews to make up and satellite feeds, it falls to the Operations Producer to make it happen.

Giebel has been with ABC News for 11 years and is also currently a general assignment Producer for "World News with Charles Gibson." Giebel produces stories on wide range of topics from hurricanes to prescription drugs. Most recently Giebel has been editing pieces for the World News Webcast which runs on the 24-hour ABCNEWS digital channel. Giebel was also an Associate Producer on the Justice Beat for two years reporting on and covering stories like the 9/11 hearings, terrorism trials and crime trends. Before arriving at World News, Giebel was a Field Producer in the Washington Bureau, she has traveled with the White House Press Corps during the Clinton and Bush Administrations and covered breaking news situations like the 2000 election recount and the sago mine disaster.

Jonathan Greenberger is a producer for "This Week." He prepares the anchor for his interviews. Greenberger has been with the show since the summer of 2005 and came to ABC after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in economics. He is originally from Columbus, Ohio.

Mary Bruce, segment producer, prepares research and produces show elements for "This Week." Previously, Mary worked as a desk assistant at ABC News. Before coming to ABC she worked in print media. Mary is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and a DC native.

Mosheh Gains, production associate, produces the weekly segment "In Memoriam" and the This Week webcast, "This Week All Week." He also provides the show's producers with assistance locating tape for This Week's other taped pieces. Gains, a graduate of Temple University's School of Communications and Theater, was an Emmy winner at the age of 21 for his involvement with covering the highly publicized 2004 mayoral debates in Philadelphia. He joined ABC News in 2006.

Lindsay Hamilton, production coordinator, acts as the assistant to the EP, helps produce the Sunday Funnies, works on the web page and writes the "This Week All Week" blog. Previously, she worked as a Desk Assistant for ABC News in New York. Hamilton earned her master's from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in 2007 and her B.A. from The George Washington University in 2004. She is originally from Omaha, NE.

Courtney Cohen, production coordinator, is George's assistant, maintaining the anchor's schedule. Before joining the team Cohen worked as a literary assistant at United Talent Agency's Motion Picture Literary Department. A graduate of American University here in Washington D.C. and a self-proclaimed political junkie, she is glad to be back in the nation's capitol. Mary Bruce, desk assistant, gathers the week's best moments of sound and tape, assembles show scripts and organizes all the show elements. She is a DC native and a 2005 graduate of Washington University, where she majored in history and spanish. Prior to joining ABC, Mary worked in print journalism.
