Carolyn Garavente, of Greensboro, NC, spent much of the year struggling to back Donald Trump as her party’s candidate, ultimately deciding to sideline her concerns and cast her ballot for the businessman.
Lacey Dickinson, a Democrat in Philadelphia, Penn., watched the headlines and debates closely as she decided between Hillary Clinton and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, ultimately “voting her conscience” for the third-party candidate.
And Peter Macone, of Manchester, NH, eventually swung his strong primary support for Sen. Bernie Sanders to Clinton.
