Posting Its Biggest Lead in Women 18-49 in More than 10 Months

February 2016 Sweep:

ABC’s “The View” delivered 2.958 million Total Viewers, 608,000 Women 25-54 and 432,000 Women 18-49 during the 2016 February Sweep, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. “The View” scored an across-the-board victory over CBS’ “The Talk” (2.944 million, 597,000 and 416,000, respectively) during the sweep: Total Viewers (+14,000), Women 25-54 (+11,000) and Women 18-49 (+16,000).

“The View” built on the previous sweep (2.608 million, 530,000 and 391,000, respectively, for November 2015) by double digits in Total Viewers (+13%), Women 25-54 (+15%) and Women 18-49 (+10%).

Week of February 29, 2016:

ABC’s “The View” averaged 2.955 million Total Viewers, 616,000 Women 25-54 and 441,000 Women 18-49 during the week of February 29, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.  “The View” led CBS’ “The Talk” (2.744 million, 539,000 and 391,000, respectively) by its largest margins of the season in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+211,000), Women 25-54 (+77,000) and Women 18-49 (+50,000).  In fact, “The View” scored its biggest lead in Women 18-49 in more than 10 months – since w/o 4/13/15.

“The View” turned in across-the-board gains from the previous week (2.843 million, 580,000 and 419,000, respectively, w/o 2/22/16): Total Viewers (+4%), Women 25-54 (+6%) and Women 18-49 (+5%).  In fact, “The View” scored its 2nd-best Women 25-54 performance of the season.

“The View” improved on the same week last year in Total Viewers (+2% - 2.955 million vs. 2.903 million on w/o 3/2/15).
