Andy Reid, GM John Dorsey receive 'full support' of Chiefs chairman

— -- LONDON -- Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt strongly endorsed coach Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey before Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions at Wembley Stadium.

"I have full confidence in Andy and John Dorsey," said Hunt, adding that nothing that could happen with the Chiefs the rest of the season would change his opinion.

"They're both extremely talented. They do a great job. They have very good staffs. They do a great job of leading those staffs. So they're the right guys for the Kansas City Chiefs."

The Chiefs had expectations of at least contending for the AFC West championship but entered Sunday 4½ games behind the first-place Denver Broncos.

On Sunday, the Chiefs crushed the Lions 45-10 in London to improve their record to 3-5 this season.

After winning the season opener against the Texans in Houston, the Chiefs lost five straight games before beating the Pittsburgh Steelers last week at Arrowhead Stadium.

"Clearly during the five-game losing streak, we were all disappointed," Hunt said. "It was not expected going into the season."
