Astros' Bell scratched with abdominal pains
-- HOUSTON -- Houston Astros right fielder Derek Bell was taken to a local hospital Saturday after complaining of abdominal pains.
Bell played in Friday night's 13-inning victory over the Chicago Cubs, but was replaced prior to Saturday's game by Ryan Thompson.
It was determined that Bell suffered a pulled rib cage muscle in his last at-bat against the Cubs on Friday.
The Astros say he is day to day.
