After giving up more than 1,000 yards in total offense the first two weeks of the season, might the Raiders' defense surviving a red-zone stand in the final minute to hold on for the 17-10 victory serve as a much-needed springboard? "If you want to put it like that," said cornerback Sean Smith, who had his first interception as a Raider. "I don't necessarily like how the game ended; we got the victory but we still allowed some big chunks. They shouldn't have got down the field that fast by any means.
