NBA players review fun holiday gifts: 3-D cat cards, anyone?

— -- Holiday cheer infects an NBA locker room just as it does your office, which means players are subjected to the same white elephant gift exchanges. NBA players are busy people, which is why we decided to do a little "pre-shopping" on their behalf and report back on our findings. We presented our collection of stocking-stuffers to a few of them, and this was their response:

Marshmallow cannon

Quincy Acy,  Kings
I've got a son. I don't know if I'd buy this for him because he's a little too destructive. I might get it for myself though.

Lavoy Allen, Pacers
I'm going to tell my wife to buy me this. It has marshmallows in it, and I love marshmallows.

Channing Frye, Magic
It's hard to load. After you spray the marshmallows, you don't want to eat them.

USB cufflinks

Solomon Hill,  Pacers
"Mission Impossible." Did you get the data? ["Mission Impossible" voice] We checked him. He didn't have the data.

Channing Frye, Magic
You don't take your work to someplace you're wearing cufflinks unless you're a spy.

Quincy Acy, Kings
That's some James Bond-type stuff. I like that. Yeah, I'd rock that.

Crochet knight hat

Quincy Acy,  Kings
I thought this was like a facemask for a football helmet. Yeah, I wouldn't buy this one.

Channing Frye, Magic
It's a beanie, but it's also a knight! Very tight. For the big kid in you, but also a very stylish gray.

Mitch McGary, Thunder
That's pretty badass. I would definitely wear this. I'd ride my unicycle down the street with this on and people probably would get scared of me.

3-D cat playing cards

Lavoy Allen, Pacers
On the team plane, card games can get a little hostile. This would cause fewer arguments, maybe cheer guys up, make things a little lighter.

Channing Frye, Magic
I hate cats. The only guy in the NBA who's cool and has a cat is Robin Lopez.

Lance Stephenson, Clippers
I don't really like these. Feels like it's for kids. And I don't like cats.

NBA logo meat brander

Lance Stephenson, Clippers
If ... a friend liked another team and I wanted to be funny, I'd put that on his food.

Mitch McGary, Thunder
I think I'd give it to one of the chefs here, a Thunder one, and they'd really cook it up.

Channing Frye, Magic
This is more of a stocking-stuffer for a guy at the office who likes a team, if you don't want to commit too much. It's a good gift for a girl to give a boyfriend of less than six months.

The Rap Year Book

Lance Stephenson,  Clippers
I like the drawings. But I disagree with this -- Rick Ross isn't intimidating.

Mitch McGary, Thunder
This is a little bit out of my age range, I wasn't even born. I would probably buy this for [Anthony Morrow]. He's always listening to every rapper. It's pretty sweet.

Channing Frye, Magic
Perfect for the coffee table.
