-- It's the final day of the 2015-16 regular season, and there are no fewer than eight seeds still undecided. That's enough to make anyone's head spin with playoff matchups. Luckily, ESPN.com has a handy cheat sheet for the possible outcomes Wednesday:
Eastern Conference
No. 3 after the Hawks lost to the Wizards 109-98 No. 4 after the Hawks lost to the Wizards 109-98 No. 5 after the Celtics defeated the Heat 98-88 No. 6 after the Hornets defeated the Magic 117-103 First tie goes to division winner, eliminating the Celtics from the 3-seed (the Heat, Hawks and Hornets are all in the Southeeast division and the Celtics cannot win that division). Among the Heat, Hawks and Hornets, the Heat own the best record in games played against each other and thus are the division champs. With the division winner settled, the Celtics, Hawks and Hornets go to a three-way tiebreaker to settle 4-6 and is based on best record against each other. The Hawks went 6-2, the Celtics went 3-4 and the Hornets went 2-5. Western Conference
No. 5 after the Mavs lost to the Spurs 96-91 No. 6 after the Grizzlies lost to the Warriors 125-104 No. 7 after the Grizzlies lost to the Warriors 125-104 No. 8 after defeating the Kings 116-81. No. 8 if the Jazz win AND the Rockets lose
