Robert Quinn signs huge extension
— -- St. Louis Rams star defensive end Robert Quinn has agreed to a four-year contract extension through the 2019 season, the team announced Saturday.
The Rams did not disclose financial details, but sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the deal is worth $66.575 million, including $41.2 million in guaranteed money.
The Rams, who are reeling from a 34-6 season-opening loss to the Minnesota Vikings, tweeted a photo of Quinn signing the deal Saturday, one day before their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Quinn finished second in the NFL with 19 sacks last season and has emerged as one of the league's top pass rushers since being drafted in the first round in 2011.
The 24-year-old Quinn, a Pro Bowler last season, has two years remaining on his existing contract with the Rams, meaning the extension will start in 2016.
Quinn headlines a talented St. Louis defensive line that also features Michael Brockers, rookie Aaron Donald and defensive end Chris Long, who is on short-term injured reserve with an ankle injury.
