Ryder Cup Day 2 Team Europe grades

— -- Martin Kaymer
Foursomes: 0-0-1 | Four-Balls: 0-1-1 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 0-1-2

The 29-year-old German putted very poorly on Saturday, particularly in the afternoon session, but his ball-striking was good enough for Justin Rose and him to steal a halve against Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed. This American pair put a beating on Kaymer and Thomas Bjorn in Saturday morning's four-ball.

Jamie Donaldson
Foursomes: 2-0-0 | Four-Balls: 0-1-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 2-1-0

Rory McIlroy
Foursomes: 1-0-1 | Four-Balls: 0-1-1 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 1-1-2

Sergio Garcia
Foursomes: 1-0-1 | Four-Balls: 0-1-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 1-1-1

The 34-year-old Spaniard didn't let Nick Faldo's putdown distract him from a strong performance in the Saturday afternoon foursomes with partner Rory McIlroy. They never trailed in their 3 and 2 victory over Jim Furyk and Hunter Mahan. Garcia's composure through Faldo calling his contribution to the 2008 Ryder Cup team "useless" is commendable.

Victor Dubuisson
Foursomes: 2-0-0 | Four-Balls: 0-0-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 2-0-0

In the Saturday foursomes, the 24-year-old Frenchman helped Graeme McDowell give Jimmy Walker and Rickie Fowler their first loss in four matches at Gleneagles. With five birdies, the European team was five up after eight holes and they rolled to a 5 and 4 win largely off of some superior shot-making by Dubuisson.

Henrik Stenson
Foursomes: 1-0-0 | Four-Balls: 2-0-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 3-0-0

Lee Westwood
Foursomes: 2-0-0 | Four-Balls: 0-1-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 2-1-0

Playing with rookie Jamie Donaldson, the nine-time Ryder Cupper looked flat in a 4 and 3 loss to Jim Furyk and Hunter Mahan in the morning sessions, but he played much better in the afternoon alternate-shot format, going 5 under in their first 10 holes. That was enough to lead them to a 2 and 1 victory. Westwood was steady and assured as the most veteran player on the European team.

Thomas Bjorn
Foursomes: 0-0-0 | Four-Balls: 0-1-1 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 0-1-1

Paul McGinley

Ian Poulter
Foursomes: 0-0-0 | Four-Balls: 0-1-1 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 0-1-1

Graeme McDowell
Foursomes: 2-0-0 | Four-Balls: 0-0-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 2-0-0

Justin Rose
Foursomes: 1-0-1 | Four-Balls: 2-0-0 | Singles: 0-0-0 | Overall: 3-0-1
