Skeleton Racer Obsessively Tweets About His Hair
'I look good, I smell good, all the time.'
Feb. 13, 2014 -- "I look good, I smell good, all the time," proclaims John Daly, Olympics skeleton star.
Daly's hair care has become a joke around the U.S. skeleton team, whose members say the New Yorker uses so many hair products that it's like he wears two helmets -- one over his head, and another over his hair.
He geared up for a race today, making sure his blonde, flowing mane was in check.
The dude loves his hair.
"There's always going to be three hair products, no matter what," Daly said. "Now, if I wash it, there's going to be a leave-in conditioner as well, so that's four. We're working with a pomade, a paste and a hardening gel."
Other Olympians are taking note. U.S. bobsledder Bree Shaaf said she wanted Daly to give his skeleton teammate, Kyle Tress, some style pro tips.
Journalists like the Associated Press' Tim Reynolds have gotten in on the fun.
Daly's been killing it on his training runs so far. Maybe three-plus hair products are the trick.
He did cover up his hair in one instance, though -- the day of the opening ceremony on Friday.
Don't worry -- it survived the night.
