Tigers fan catches five balls at game against Pirates
-- The Detroit Tigers lost their home game Monday afternoon, but one of their fans was a big winner.
Yes, a single fan caught five -- five! -- foul balls at Comerica Park, where the Tigers lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-4. Better yet, he gave the mementos to children seated nearby.
The fan's name is Bill Dugan, according to the Detroit Free Press. He's a season-ticket holder and says he has 200-300 balls at home that he has caught at games.
"I've got a room full of them, so I can't be greedy," Dugan said.
Francisco Cervelli and Gregory Polanco had three hits for the Pirates and Jonathon Niese got the win, but Dugan's the real hero in our book.
