Yahoo's facelift, kids found on Facebook, Lego printer.
June 7, 2010— -- It's a a big day for Apple. The company is widely expected to unveil a new iPhone today. CEO Steve Jobs kicks off Apple's annual software developers conference, the same event he used to introduced the last two versions of the device. We should find out if that prototype phone found in a bar a couple of months ago was the real deal. If so, the new iPhone will have a clearer display, longer battery life, and front-facing camera for videoconferencing.
Yahoo's Facelift
Yahoo is getting something of a facelift this week. The site is rolling out several changes, importing features from Facebook. Facebook's news feeds will be available throughout Yahoo's website, including its front page and e-mail service. And Facebook members will be able to automatically let their friends know what they are doing and saying on Yahoo.
Kids Found on Facebook
A California mother has Facebook to thank for helping her track down her kids, 15 years after they were kidnapped by their father. She typed one of her children's names into Facebook, and her daughter's profile came up. She then contacted the authorities who tracked the profile to Orlando, Fla. The father was arrested and charged with kidnapping. The mother is now trying to build a relationship with her teenage kids.
