Business apps take off, Google's driverless car.
Oct. 11, 2010 -- Microsoft is set to unveil its new Windows Phone 7 today. The smart phone has an entirely new operating system. It will reportedly allow documents to be viewed, edited and shared using Microsoft Office. It's expected in stores in the next few weeks.
Apps Survey
There are high expectations for the business applications market. Business apps are expected to lead all other business software development by 2015, according to a tech industry survey by IBM. One analyst says it's because smart phones are becoming more powerful, and making apps is getting easier.
Google Driverless Car
Google is working on a driverless car. A blogger for the New York Times tried it out. The car uses video cameras, radar sensors and laser range finders to navigate roads and traffic. Google engineers told the Times it only had one accident, when another vehicle rear ended it.
