The 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander is available with a fairly good suite of cabin tech that includes a hard-drive-based navigation system. Straight line acceleration is impressive thanks to a hearty V-6 and a well-tuned automatic transmission.

The Outlander's cabin is trimmed in hard plastics that feel cheap to the touch. Ride quality is harsh thanks to overly firm suspension and low profile tires. The Rockford Fosgate stereo is loud, but not necessarily clear.

While the 2009 Mistubishi Outlander's tech package is still at the head of its class and it still gives great performance at a great price point, the rough ride and cheap interior hold it back from greatness.
