See Apple Pay Put to the Test at McDonald's
Just how easy is it to use Apple's new mobile wallet?
-- Apple Pay made its debut today and has so far lived up to the hype as a potential credit card killer.
The biggest obstacle: It seemed not every employee at the stores that ABC News visited knew about the product. When I visited a New York City McDonald's restaurant, my query about Apple Pay was mistaken by the cashier, who thought I wanted to order an Apple Pie.
A manager quickly overheard and pointed to the contactless reader, where a quick Apple Pay transaction could be made.
With his finger on the Touch ID, my colleague held his iPhone 6 Plus near the reader and said he felt a slight vibration in his hand as a check mark signifying the transaction was successful quickly appeared on his phone screen.
